Maidstone Scarecrow Festival
This October half term, Maidstone will be welcoming a host of bright and colourful scarecrows to the town centre. How many can you discover?
Local schools and community groups have been busy creating scarecrows based on the themes of ‘Maidstone Faces’ or ‘Famous characters from literature’.
We’re offering prizes to the best school and the best community group and we’re asking members of the public to help us decide the winners by voting for their favourites.
You will be able to find scarecrows at Fremlin Walk, The Mall, Lockmeadow, Royal Star Arcade and lots of other businesses around the town centre throughout the half term week.
Come and meet our giant scarecrow Jack, King of the Scarecrows, who will be at Lockmeadow for the Festival.
Check out Visit Maidstone for lots more family-friendly activities taking place this half term!
