Elmer on Tour
Elmer on Tour - new dates added!
Following the huge success of Elmer's Big Heart of Kent Parade last summer, we are delighted to announce that we will be bringing this colourful character to some of our rural communities over the coming months.
Maidstone Borough Council supported the Heart of Kent Hospice initiative last year as the official Heritage Partner of the public art trail and sponsored two of the elephant sculptures. The Council was later gifted it’s very own Elmer ‘Maidstone Map’ sculpture, which has been welcoming visitors to the Museum over the last six months, but he is now ready to pack up his trunk and set off on his own adventure.
If you weren't able to travel into the town to take part in the trail, or you just want another chance to see Elmer up close again, he will be appearing at the following locations:
Lenham Library*: 9th May - 3rd June
Staplehurst Library*: 6th June - 1st July
Shepway Library*: 4th - 29th July
Coxheath Library: 1st - 12th August
